Aniplex revealed during its Sk8 Masquerade of Love event on Sunday that a new anime project for the original SK∞ television anime ( Sk8 the Infinity ) is in the works.
Synopsis
High school student Reki Kyan is passionate about one thing: skateboarding. As night fell, he headed to "S," illegal underground races inside the mines where skaters compete in extremely dangerous situations. After suffering a defeat that resulted in his skateboard being crushed and his arm broken, now Reki can't train at all.
While working, Reki meets his new classmate, Langa Hasegawa, a half-Canadian boy and half Japanese with no skateboarding experience at all. Langa desperately needed money. After the two of them visited "S" when assigned by Reki's boss, they got into trouble and forced to make a bet that required Langa to slide in a race. However, The mysterious transfer student holds a trump card that Reki doesn't realize, which might help him win the race in the most unexpected way.
Hiroko Utsumi ( Free! , Banana Fish ) is directing a 12-episode anime series at animation studio Bones during Winter 2021. Ichirou Ookouchi ( Lupine III: Part 5 ,Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch ) is handling series composition, and Michinori Chiba ( Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans , Tsukiuta. The Animation 2) is designing the characters.
